PD Avengers Partners with Research Opportunities

  • Michael J. Fox Foundation

    Your Role in Parkinson’s Research.

This guidebook was created with study participant partners. "Research participation motivates us, inspires us, empowers us and gives us purpose as we navigate daily life with the disease," write members of the Foundation's Patient Council.

  • Fox Trial Finder

“Fox Trial Finder” is a tool by the Michael J. Fox Foundation that matches people (with or without Parkinson’s) to Parkinson’s-related clinical trials and observational studies.

  • PD GENEration: Powered by the Parkinson’s Foundation

Democratizing access to genetics: Genetic testing for PD is often expensive, not covered by insurance, or lacking counseling. PD GENEration makes both testing and counseling freely available to participants.

Patient empowerment & precision care: For participants, knowing one’s genetic profile may guide monitoring, risk assessments, family counseling, or future therapy options.

  • Opportunity for Research Participation – Center for Accessible Neuropsychology, Faculty of Medicine & Stanford University

We’re now expanding our recruitment for the control arm of the study (in collaboration with Stanford), and we’d be grateful for your help spreading the word.

If you have a spouse, partner, or friend aged 65+ who might be willing to participate in a short, at-home online zoom session (about 30-40 minutes), please share this with them.

    ·       They can sign up HERE.

    ·       Learn more about the Center for Accessible Neuropsychology HERE.

  • LSVT Global

LSVT Global is sharing a GREAT news poster summarizing the findings from the Speech Intelligibility Project that so many PD Avengers participated in.

  • Parkinson's and AI Survey

PhD student Jamie Luckhaus and Sara Riggare are seeking insights on PD and AI.

This survey is part of Jamie’s PhD project and aims to better understand if and how PwP use AI and self-tracking.

The survey is available in English, Swedish, Spanish, and French, see text and link in these languages below.

    English https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/Opinions_AI_for_PD

We, at Sweden’s Uppsala University, want to know your opinions and experiences as a person with Parkinson’s in regards to artificial intelligence (AI) and self-tracking. Your survey responses will help inform the development of a real AI-toolkit called AI-PROGNOSIS, as well as contribute to research. Please take 10 minutes
